The Qashqai is the first car to be designed and developed from scratch at NISSAN Design Europe’s new London studio. It comes with electronically controlled all- wheel drive and is based on an innovative concept with folding seats which allows bicycles to be transported easily, for example. The Qashqai’s flexibility is further enhanced by rear-hinged rear doors and the lack of a B-pillar. This ground- breaking solution has been developed without compromising on the structural rigidity of the vehicle. |

Today the marque – which was also highly successful in motor racing – survives in only a few, rarely seen specimens. |

The interiors also featured exclusive materials. A special-edition Isotta-Fraschini belonged to the fleet of cars owned by Rudolf Valentino, for one. In the very first Concorso de’Eleganza Villa d’Este of 1929, an Isotta-Fraschini by Cesare Sala with a faux-cabriolet body won the coveted Coppa d’Oro. |

The smooth-running 6-cylinder engine with a displacement of more than seven litres was ideally suited for cruising along Hollywood’s boulevards and contributed to the outstanding reputation the Rolls-Royce marque enjoys to this day. |

Spain’s King Alphonso had a Hispano-Suiza model in his car fleet of the time. French coachbuilders Hibbard & Darrin, who also made a name for themselves with superstructures mounted on Rolls-Royce and Duesenberg chassis, created this magnificent two-seater H6B, which is on display for the first time in Italy after comprehensive restoration by its current owner. |

In the 1920s, this construction method was applied under licence by many coachbuilders thanks to its very positive impact on the car’s overall weight. We are delighted to be able to present such an unrestored model in its original condition in the Concorso. |

The famous British racing driver Dick Seaman received this model as a gift in his younger years, and it undoubtedly had a positive impact on the start of his racing career. The car is in absolute original condition. |

The Paris outlet of E.Z. Sadovic subsequently managed to sell 14 Duesenbergs between October and January. The first owner of this model was Queen Marie of Yugoslavia, who was evidently impressed by its safe handling. The car was then purchased by a Peruvian Duesenberg collector, who left the vehicle in Paris, however. It has been in the United States since the 1940s and has been brought back to Europe for the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este by its current owner, James Glickenhaus of New York. |

This is the first time since its restoration that the car is on public display again. |

It is particularly light, which makes for excellent handling characteristics. Its elegant contours lend this open roadster a very special exterior. |

Swiss coachbuilder Hermann Graber, whose reputation extended beyond his home country, created special bodies for numerous Type 57 Bugatti models. This car was restored by its longstanding previous owner in the United States and now goes on show in Europe again after a long absence. |
030 | B | 1938 Peugeot 402 Darl’Mat Pourtout Cabriolet LHD • 4 cylinder, 2000 cc | Light Green / Beige 380 JWR 75 (F) | 1938 Peugeot 402 Darl’Mat Pourtout Cabriolet The well-known Paris Peugeot dealer Darl’Mat commissioned the stylist Paulin, who was also responsible for the Peugeot Eclipse Cabriolet, with designing a sports version based on the 402. In 1937, three Peugeot 402 Darl’Mat models successfully entered the Le Mans 24 Hour Race. In all, just 105 units of this model were built: 53 roadsters, 20 coupés and 32 cabriolets. |

The car was not just a milestone for the BMW brand but also a very important and successful vehicle in the history of motor racing. A total of 462 examples were built. Today some 150 remain in the hands of collectors or museums. |

This two-seater cabriolet is striking for its elegant lines and balanced proportions. |

This elegant cabriolet is once again on show in Europe after a long absence. |

The Voisin C14 reflected a design language that was typical of Voisin vehicles. The Museum Fondation “Herve” in Aigle (CH) run by Jacques de Wurstemberger, who ranks as a Voisin specialist, houses a marvellous collection of Voisin models which he has repeatedly entered in the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in past years. |
042 | B | 1931 Austin MK II 'Swallow' Saloon RHD • 4 cylinder, 747 cc | Cream-Dark Red UR 8538 | 1931 Austin MK II 'Swallow' Saloon Trofeo Ruoteclassiche: To the most sensitive restoration by the Jury 3rd Diploma in class: 1930-1939 - Closed Cars "Flamboyances et extravagances" The Austin Swallow was built by the Swallow Sidecar & Coachbuilding Company headed by Sir William Lyons, founder of the Jaguar car marque. This car resided in the Peter Black Car Museum in Keighley from 1974 to 1995. Following five years of restoration work by its current owner, it has been successfully exhibited at international events and won a number of prizes. |

Its aerodynamic styling lends the car a dynamic exterior even when stationary. |

Its aesthetic form is mounted on a chassis powered by no more than a 4-cylinder engine with a displacement of just under 1000 cm3. |
048 | B | 1936 Bugatti Type 57 Atalante Coupé chassis 57402 • RHD • 8 cylinder, 3257 cc | White-Black / Tan HX-T 7H (D) | 1936 Bugatti Type 57 Atalante Coupé 2nd Diploma in class: 1930-1939 - Closed Cars "Flamboyances et extravagances" This Bugatti Atalante was delivered in 1936 by Swiss dealer Sechaud of Geneva to Frau Meyer in Zurich, whose chauffeur was a brother of the well-known Bugatti importer. After the Second World War, the car passed into the hands of Count Ottorino Volonterio of Orselina (CH), who owned it until 1979. From 1980 until 2003 the Bugatti was in the possession of Monsieur F. Chandon (of the champagne dynasty), where it underwent comprehensive restoration. Its current owner carried out minimal colour corrections after purchase, bringing its appearance closer to what it was when it was when originally delivered. |

In the late 1940s, the chassis of the Fiat 1100 was a favoured basis for the creative designs of the Italian stylists, who presented them at motor shows and Concours d’Elégance. |
052 | C | 1951 Ferrari 212 Export Spider Vignale chassis 0090 E • RHD | Green metallic-Dark Green metallic / Green VI 20824 (I) | 1951 Ferrari 212 Export Spider Vignale Coppa d’Oro Villa d’Este: Best of Show by Referendum at Villa d’Este 1st Diploma and Silver Plaque in class: 1940-1959 - Open Cars "Le temps du changement" This one-off model built by Alfredo Vignale in Turin was initially sold to Count Umberto Marzotto of Trissino in 1951. He contested several races with it, as did Countess Pallavicini, who used the car for hillclimb events. In June 1951 the Swiss motoring journal Automobil Revue was already testing the racing Spider on Modena’s Aerautodromo. The one-off model, restored by Paul Russell and Company in Massachusetts with two-tone paintwork typical of Vignale, today forms part of an unusual American collection in Florida and was shipped to Italy especially for the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. |

It was on this day, in the gardens of Villa Olmo at Cernobbio, that the most famous of all Concours d’Elegance took place. The extraordinary 6C 2500 Super Sport coupé, indisputably an aesthetic masterpiece by the Italian Master coachbuilder Touring, was awarded the Gran Premio by the public. From that time on this model has been known as the Villa d’Este. Several examples, such as this one taking part in the Concours, were convertibles. |

Its timelessly beautiful design by Pinin Farina is compelling primarily for its consummate proportions. |

It was based on the Ferrari Type 501 chassis with its small Type 110 4-cylinder engine. This car competed in the 1954 Tour de France Automobile and remained in Italian ownership until 1959. Appearing at Pebble Beach in the 1980s, it was subsequently sold to Japan and then belonged to one of Switzerland’s most important collections in the 1990s. Today the 500 Mondial belongs to Italian collector Emilio Gnutti. |

The hallmark features of this 375 MM, of which just ten units were built, are an aggressive front end and a dynamic rear in conjunction with a genuine thoroughbred race car displacing 4.5 litres. The sweeping front bumpers reminiscent of a sea eagle, the side window vents, the air outlets in the front wings and massive racing fuel caps at the rear lend this unique car a very special appearance. The 375 MM was fielded in races such as the Carrera Panamericana and in Le Mans, although the example shown here was never raced. |

This is the sixth example, which made its debut at the Turin Motor Show in April 1956. Its first owner was Renato Bialetti of Novara, who sold the car to the Saudi Royal Family in Riyadh. The current owner regularly enters the car in the Colorado Grand in the USA as well as other events. But he has also claimed several top prizes in major Concours d’Elégance in the United States. Its black and white bodywork is in keeping with the original colours. |

This Alvis is on public show at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este for the first time following complete restoration over a number of years. |

Following successful restoration, the car is on public show again at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este after more than 30 years. |

It is a classic roadgoing Ferrari of the 1960s, favoured by movie stars, industrialists and gentlemen drivers. The bodywork design stems from Pininfarina and it was built by Scaglietti. From 1966 to 1968, no more than 330 units were completed. This car was first delivered to America, where it spent many years in California before moving on to Japan and then England. |
